We’re looking for someone to join our inspiring Visitor Engagement Team as a Digital Visitor Engagement volunteer.

You’ll be desk-based and help us to keep our digital visitor information up-to-date and refreshed so that people across Yorkshire can use it to head out and be inspired by the incredible wildlife and wild places that we care for. This role is vital to creating fantastic visitor experiences, as your work will guide visitors when they’re deciding which of our wild places they’d like to head out and explore!

We have a range of places where people can access information about our reserves: from Google to our website, TripAdvisor and more. To coincide with the launch of our new guidebook, you’ll be working to update our reserve information and ensure that visitors can access useful information online about facilities, accessibility and what to see at Yorkshire Wildlife Trust reserves. As well as this, you’ll be engaging with visitors digitally - answering questions and responding to reviews on our TripAdvisor and Google platforms.

Tasks will include:

  • Updating visitor information for each reserve to complement the release of our new guidebook
  • Refreshing nature reserve listing information on sites such as TripAdvisor, Google, the Yorkshire Wildlife Trust website, and local online listings.
  • Ensuring that all our publicly accessible nature reserves are mapped correctly on services such as Google Maps, Waze and What3Words
  • Keeping in touch with internal staff, trainees, and volunteers to ensure digital visitor information is up-to-date
  • Monitoring and responding to visitor questions and feedback online
  • Uploading and promoting events through website and Eventbrite
