Our work for wildlife
We work across Yorkshire, winding from our peatlands through our valleys, towns and cities to the coast and the North Sea. Our work falls into two broad categories - Living Landscapes and Living Seas.
As part of these, we protect the incredible species that call Yorkshire home, by understanding what they need and creating spaces where they can flourish. We manage and restore over 100 nature reserves, creating havens for wildlife across the county. We work with partners to think bigger than patches of land, devising solutions for entire landscapes that are better for wildlife and for people.
And finally, we campaign to influence policy and planning applications, protecting Yorkshire’s irreplaceable natural heritage,
