Standing 400 feet high, Flamborough Head is one of the most spectacular areas of chalk cliffs in Britain. This gorgeous coastline offers a great spot for hiking.

Flamborough Cliffs nature reserve
Flamborough Head has one of the most important seabird colonies in Europe. In summer the cliffs are packed with tens of thousands of breeding puffins, auks and many more creating a memorable experience.

Danes Dyke nature reserve
Danes Dyke is a 148 acre nature reserve on Flamborough Headland. The reserve contains the most extensive area of woodland on the Headland and is part of the Flamborough Headland Heritage Coast. Find out more from the leaflet below.
Flamborough Seawatch Observatory
There is a sea watching hide situated immediately south of the Fog Station offering panoramic views of the seascape of the headland. It provides visitors with a safe place to watch the thousands of seabirds that fly past Flamborough every day. Seals and porpoises are seen regularly, with whales and dolphins recorded every year. This hide is managed by Flamborough Bird Observatory and requires an access code to get in.
Bird watching
Flamborough Headland is one of Britain's hotspots for migrant birds. Spring and autumn walks around the Head can turn up a variety of scarcities. Late autumn bring large 'falls' of thrushes.
Thornwick Pools attracts waders such as Little Ringed Plover, Green Sandpiper and Greenshank.
