Wildlife Travel was set up in 1988 with the aim of supporting nature conservation by organising wildlife holidays in the UK, Europe and worldwide.
Profits are donated to The Wildlife Trusts to support conservation work in the UK, but Wildlife Travel also work directly with conservation organisations in the destination countries to support local conservation work.
Wildlife Travel will make a donation to Yorkshire Wildlife Trust if you mention us on booking with them. The amount of donation depends on the profits available, but if you have not travelled with them before the donation would be at least £50 per person.
One of the first wildlife holiday companies to mitigate flight carbon emissions, this cost is included in all holidays (rather than being an optional extra) and Wildlife Travel now participates in the carbon balance programme operated by the World Land Trust, so that all payments also go to protecting areas with the highest biodiversity in the world.
Of course, you don’t have to get on a plane to enjoy a fantastic range of wildlife. Many UK and European destinations are accessible by train: from the pre-Alpine valleys of the Vercors in France and the limestone of the Burren in Ireland, to Mull, the Isles of Scilly, Norfolk and Yorkshire.
