Immerse yourself in the sounds, rhythms and sights of Spurn's landscape at this audiovisual art installation, created in partnership with Leeds Beckett University.
About the event
This audiovisual art installation includes an audio experience built by Justin Morey which features community voices such as visitors, conservationists and volunteers, and documents seasonal transformations through field recordings.
Visual artist Ruthie Ford creates an equally immersive experience with dichroic film applied to windows, and acrylic panels hung from the ceiling. Dichroic film changes colour depending on where the light is hitting and where the viewer stands. It is translucent, but can also reflect and cast shadows. The film is printed with selected copies of drawings of water patterns, birds in flight, plant life, clouds, and man-made structures.
