About the event

Embark on a tailored birdwatching adventure at the stunning Spurn National Nature Reserve, where expert guides will lead you through one of the UK's premier birding hotspots. Whether you're a seasoned birder or a curious beginner, our bespoke tours are designed to match your interests, experience level, and the time of year.

What to Expect:

  • Personalised Experience: Each tour is crafted to meet your specific preferences, from the birds you most want to see to the areas of the reserve you'd like to explore.
  • Expert Guides: Learn from local experts with in-depth knowledge of Spurn’s rich birdlife and diverse habitats.
  • Wildlife Highlights: Depending on the season, you may encounter migratory species, resident birds, and even rare sightings that make Spurn famous among birdwatchers.

Why Spurn? Known for its incredible bird migration opportunities, Spurn is one of the most exciting birdwatching destinations in the UK. Its unique position between the North Sea and the Humber Estuary makes it a vital stopover for migrating species, offering unmatched opportunities to witness rare and seasonal birds in their natural environment.

What to bring/wear

Dress for the weather (it can be very cold and exposed at Spurn, so bring plenty of layers) and wear sturdy footwear. Please bring your own binoculars, and a cameral is also highly recommended to capture those potential rare sightings.

Toilets and catering

There are toilets, including an accessible toilet, at Spurn Discovery Centre. As part of your tour, you will enjoy a friendly welcome and free drinks on arrival at the Discovery Centre, and a fabulous free lunch in the cafe with fantastic vies of the Humber estuary and Spurn. Then finally, a free farewell coffee and delicious cake at the end of the day.

Please note, most of our food is prepared within the cafe and so we are unable to guarantee that cross-contamination of allergens will not occur. Please contact our team if you have any questions.
