About the event

Discover a wealth of wild coastal plants and seaweeds, rich in nutrients and full of flavour. Learn how to identify edible species that thrive along the shore and uncover their many health benefits.

During this hands-on experience, you'll sample unique coastal flavours and also keep an eye out for marine life in rock pools and along the rocky shore.

With years of experience foraging for both food and medicinal herbs, Andrea has a wealth of knowledge to share, including how she uses wild plants to support health and wellbeing in her herbal medicine clinics.

What to bring

This event takes place outside so brace yourself for the Yorkshire weather. We'd recommend sturdy and waterproof footwear or wellies, and lots of layers! If it's a hot day, remember a hat and suncream. We'd also recommend bringing a refillable water bottle.
