Welcome Volunteer
We welcome thousands of visitors to the Living Seas Centre every year. Here they can find a wealth of information about the local marine environment and our work. We also have a small retail and catering operation and lots of interactive displays and activities. We are always looking to recruit Welcome Volunteers to join the team and help with the day to day running of the Living Seas Centre and ensure visitors have a warm and memorable welcome!
Inspiring Peoples Volunteer
We welcome thousands of children and families to the Living Seas Centre every year through our school visits and public events programme. We go rockpooling, beachcombing and beach cleaning, educating and inspiring participants about our local environment. We are always looking for Inspiring People Volunteers to join the team and help engage a wide range of audiences with our coastal environment.
Sea Watching Surveyor

I can't begin to tell you what joy it has brought me being a volunteer. I have seen people with tears in their eyes viewing their first puffin, watched children being amazed at the wildlife in rock pools and enthused newcomers to the Yorkshire Coast of the incredible diversity of wildlife and scenery we have
