Children from Bempton and Flamborough Primary Schools officially launched the Yorkshire Puffin Festival last month with a fun-filled day at the Living Seas Centre at Flamborough Cliffs.
Local schools launch the 2019 Yorkshire Puffin Festival!
The younger generation leading the charge aboard an East Yorkshire Motor Services open-topped bus...
Picked up by an East Yorkshire Motor Services open-topped bus they journeyed to the Living Seas Centre at South Landing to learn about puffins and other marine wildlife.
They then headed to North Landing to create some puffin-inspired art on the beach. Yorkshire Wildlife Trust’s puffin mascot Cliff even made an appearance to welcome them!
The weather shined for us and we hope all our visitors had as much fun as we did. It was a great event to lead into our second ever Yorkshire Puffin Festival, open to everyone!
Our main Yorkshire Puffin Festival takes place on Saturday 15 June and Sunday 16 June. Join us for activities, guided walks, boat trips and more, all celebrating these wonderful, funny, seaside neighbours!
