Ever wondered what species of plants and animals can be found at Spurn? Here’s your chance to become nature detectives and find out!
On Saturday 13th April and Sunday 14th April, we're hosting the Spurn Bio-Blitz 2019 at the Spurn Discovery Centre. This is a chance to come and find as many different kinds of wildlife as possible, on Spurn National Nature Reserve, over one weekend.
The weekend will involve special safaris to the point, guided walks, moth trapping, a bat walk, seashore detectives, sea-watching and many more exciting activities for all the family.
We want to encourage everyone to look out for and after nature. It will be a chance to get involved with some Citizen Science by simply recording what we find over 2 days at Spurn. A number of specialists will be on hand to answer questions and show how to find different kinds of wildlife. Spring should be in full swing by this date and you never know what might turn up.
You'll also have the opportunity to see what our webcams and trail cameras pick up when it is quiet or dark.
We strongly advise booking onto the guided tours, safaris and special events:
