About the event
Meet our resident wildlife photographer at the Spurn Discovery Centre for introductions and a welcome drink.
We will spend around an hour looking at the basics of photography, before heading out around the reserve for the rest of the morning. Around midday you'll return to the centre for lunch, then head out again to a nearby nature reserve in the afternoon to look at some more advanced photography techniques. Throughout the day there will be some photography tasks thrown into the mix for you to practice your new found skills. Once the workshop has ended you will return to the Discovery centre for a final farewell drink.
During the day you will cover the following subjects:
* Ethics of wildlife photography
* Fieldcraft
* Equipment
* Camera Settings
* Rules of Composition
* Bokeh effect
* Use of light
* Species identification & research
* Image critique
* You will need to provide your own camera, lens and binoculars. Tripods will not be necessary as we will be mobile and shooting hand held for most of the day.
*Refreshments and Lunch are included with admission.
