Tomorrow's Natural Leader Anna explains what the programme meant to her.
Since starting the TNL project, I have found the skills, knowledge and experience I have gained to be invaluable. I am based in Pearson Park, Hull and from there, I travel widely across Yorkshire to take part in practical land management on different nature reserves. I get up to all sorts - anything from hedge laying and gate hanging to building dry stone walls.
I have also been able to improve and develop my project management skills. A project I am currently working on is a nine-metre pond dipping platorm that is being installed at Filey Dams. My colleagues and I have overseen this project from its design, using recycled plastc to obtaining quotes, ordering materials and building it. The TNL project has shown me where I want to take my future career.
